Free Radicals

Our cells use oxygen to produce energy. In the process , they generate free radicals that are unstable oxygen molecules created during metabolic functions. Free radicals are also produced by sunlight, air pollution, cigarrete smoke and toxins such as pesticides. Free radicals are a product of a daily living. But, unfortunately , it is a molecule of oxigen that is incomplete looking to be complete, and can damage the cells especially the outer membrane . This causes the cell to be dehydrated.
When free radicals damage the cells, they cause inflammation.

Antioxidants scoop up free radicals, and prevent of pro- inflammatory chemicals like arachidonic acid.
